  • Can You Work With a UK Nutritionist From the US, Canada or Australia?

Short answerYes. Nutrition consultations are delivered by video, so where you live makes almost no difference. Clients in the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland and New Zealand work with Suzan Raad the same way UK clients do. Sessions are booked in your time zone, prices are in pounds and your card converts automatically, and everything you receive is digital. The one thing that changes is the medical system around you, which is covered below.

How it works from outside the UK

  • Everything is by video or phone. There is no physical examination in nutrition work. The value is in the history, the analysis and the plan, and all three travel perfectly well over a call.
  • Sessions are booked in your time zone. Suzan works with clients from California to Sydney and schedules around your day, not hers.
  • Everything you receive is digital. Your written plan, meal guidance and journals arrive by email. Nothing waits in customs.
  • Payment is in pounds. Your bank converts at the rate on the day. There is no international surcharge from this end.

What it costs in your currency

Service GBP Approximate USD Approximate AUD
Private consultation, 90 minutes £150 about $190 about A$290
Four week programme £500 about $630 about A$970

Conversions move with the exchange rate. The pound figure is the one that is charged.

Time zones in practice

  • US East Coast: the UK is five hours ahead. A UK afternoon is a US morning, which works well for both.
  • US West Coast: eight hours behind the UK. Early UK evenings suit best.
  • Canada: the same as the US, depending on province.
  • Australia and New Zealand: a UK morning is your evening. Most Australian clients take sessions after work.
  • Ireland: the same time zone as the UK, so anything works.

The one thing that does change: your medical system

Suzan provides nutrition and lifestyle education and guidance. She does not diagnose conditions or treat disease anywhere in the world. That means:

  • Your own doctor stays your doctor. Nutrition work runs alongside them, not instead of them.
  • Tests and referrals happen where you live. If something needs investigating, that goes through your physician, GP or specialist locally.
  • Bring the results you already have. Blood work from your own doctor is more useful than anything bought online, wherever it was done.
  • Insurance. These are private sessions and are not billed to insurance. Some US clients claim through an HSA or FSA, which is between you and your provider.

Does UK nutrition advice apply where I live?

The biology does not change by country. What changes is the food in front of you, and that is handled by building your plan around what you actually buy and cook. American, Canadian and Australian clients get guidance using ingredients available to them, not a list of British supermarket products.

Portion conventions, product names and even some national guidelines differ, and those are accounted for in the plan rather than glossed over.

What UK based clients get that you do not

Being straight about it: an in person appointment at 360 Degree Clinic in Surbiton, and printed materials posted within the UK. Everything else, the consultation, the analysis, the plan, the weekly guidance and the review, is identical.

Common questions from overseas clients

What if I need to reschedule across time zones? Tell Suzan and it is moved. Nobody is penalised for a calendar mistake.

Can I pay in my own currency? Your card is charged in pounds and your bank converts. Most cards now do this at close to the market rate.

Is there a language barrier? All sessions are in English.

Will she understand my food culture? The first session is spent on what you actually eat. That is the starting point, not a British template.
